Part I of Spring Break 2011!!

Ahh Spring Break, oh how I love thee.  I don't want to gloat or brag, but I just have to share with you the amazing amounts of things I've been able to do in just 3 days of Spring Break.

Cleaned the bathroom, I mean deeeeep clean. I found stuff that no one should see.  See, you're not jealous now are you?

Cleaned the rest of the house thoroughly.

Finished my book club book "The Scent of Rain and Lightening" by Nancy Pickard.  GREAT mystery story.  I loved it and can't wait to talk it over with my book club girls!

The Scent of Rain and Lightning [Book]

Scrapbooked Christmas.  For 2009 and 2010.  My goal is do it yearly, but something happened last year, and it just never happened.

Made "just add milk" blueberry muffins just for me.

Cooked sweet potato fries from Cucina Bella to go with the awesome burgers Ben grilled.  I loved them, as I enjoy the soggier fries, but they weren't crispy enough for the hub's taste.  I can understand that. (those are not my fries pictured below)

Ran 2 miles TWICE!  And in the cool morning sun.  Lovely but surprising difficult.  I'm not sure why.

Watered the yard.  Ours was still brown but this morning, after watering last night, I'm seeing much more green!

Took a nap with Polly snuggled right next to me.

Had lunch with my friend Erika at Ruggles Green - YUM.  I also got the Pink Velvet cake which was incredible.

Went to Target then came back home because I was tired and found myself locked out.  Boo...we've got to get an extra key.  So, I took a little nap in my car, and while I waited for Ben to get home, went to Katy Mills Mall where I found a wonderful plaid button-up shirt at Gap Outlet for all those times when I need to dress country and never have anything.

Blogged - twice in one week!

Tonight we are going to see Menomena in concert and then going camping tomorrow with family.  I can't wait!!

A month of FUN

So, its been almost a month to the day since the last time I posted and that is because I've been having so much FUN!  And working and being responsible too, but mostly there's been no blogging because of 'da fun.  Here's a little recap in pictures of the fun...

T-shirt quilt and a movie or two - I have the entire inside finally all sewn together, this week I will tackle the outside border and be DONE!

February 26th was finally the Rodeo Run 10K that I've been training for!  I ran with these other sweet girls from my school and we all did a great job.  Next run - Aide Sudan 5K.

Last weekend, I went to San Francisco to visit my friend Lindsey.  She and I were roommates in the Nimitz house our sophomore year at A&M.  She is getting married to her Ben in July!  We had such a fun time shopping, seeing the city, doing wedding stuff and relaxing.  There was also a good amount of talking and eating bad-for-us food - two essential elements of a girls' weekend!

This is us on a hill in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.  Gorgeous view and a gorgeous day.
